Nate and Javi had a wonderful Northern Michigan wedding at the Homestead in Glen Arbor.  They had an intimate ceremony on the patio at Cafe Manitou and were blessed with unusually perfect weather for mid-September.  And that sunset!  How amazing is that?!

The Pulliams are one adventurous family!  With all this rain we’ve had for the last month, of course we got wet.  I just don’t know what is up with all this weather!  The whole crew were champs though!  We dodged the raindrops as long as we could and then retreated from the beach at the Homestead to the transportation station for a little cover.  Grandma had big fun plans for the beach with the kids and their fancy red, white, and blue sunglasses, so of course, we had to play with them.  We laughed at the rain and splashed in puddles and pretty much rocked out some attitude!

Chris and Paula had a wonderful Leelanau County wedding at the Homestead in Glen Arbor.  We had a glorious first look on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, a spectacular ceremony on top of the mountain overlooking that beach, and a party to beat all parties at Mountain Flowers Lodge.

Some days at work make me smile for days!  Today I got to wear snowpants, go 4 wheeling on an unplowed country road, and freeze my butt off in 17 degree weather to be a part of Cass and Rod’s winter ski-in wedding.  It was fantastic!  Despite the cold temperatures, the winds were fair and the sun peeked in and out of the clouds; making for an ideal winter’s day.  Lovely Cass and handsome Rod skied the few miles from the Homestead in Glen Arbor to the barn on Miller Road at Port Oneida to meet me and the officiant and commit their vows to each other.  It is always quite an honor to be part of an intimate gathering and participating in a happy couple’s union.

Emily and Eli had a glorious early November day for a wedding in Glen Arbor at the Glen Lake Reformed Church and then a beautiful reception at the Glen Arbor Town Hall.  It isn’t often that we have 60 degree days this time of year and I should know, it was my birthday!  I won’t tell you for how many years this day has been my birthday, but it’s been plenty, and I was lucky enough this year to witness the love between two people be declared before God, the Church, and the beauty of Leelanau County.

Kelly and Alex had a beautiful day for a wedding at Camp Firefly at the Homestead in Glen Arbor.  The weather was perfect for our first look with their whole group.  It was a great family gathering!

Sue and Jon were united with their families at Camp Firefly at the Homestead in Glen Arbor.  They had a glorious fall day; complete with their children, grand children, some golfing, a bonfire, and a lovely Lake Michigan sunset.

This couple had a beautiful morning on the beach for a first look at the Homestead in Glen Arbor.  Their were then joined by their closest family and children for a ceremony at the top of the mountain.  I love these small weddings that are just about family.

The Saunders family joined me for a fun day at the beach in Glen Arbor for some family photos.

Grandma bought a cute dress and nice shirt for these two fun kids to have photos on the beach with their parents.  For the age gap between the two children, they were wonderful together!  Total hams!!
