Jenna and Ethan decided to elope!  They chose the shores of Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula for their ceremony.  We had a flawless bluebird sky, a spectacular sunset, and a lovely star-filled night; oh, and a pretty sweet car to play with.  What more could two people need to celebrate their love!?!?

Chris and Paula had a wonderful Leelanau County wedding at the Homestead in Glen Arbor.  We had a glorious first look on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, a spectacular ceremony on top of the mountain overlooking that beach, and a party to beat all parties at Mountain Flowers Lodge.

When you have many titles in this world; Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, your birthday is an amazing and wonderful gift to all those around you.  You get to share not only immeasurable love to those humans you have created, but the generations that have been made after get to know you as well.  I absolutely love families of many generations.  I love that you can see the same eyes, the same smiles, and the same good humor in each family branch set.  With this group, it was that genuine easy nature, quick smile, and open hearts that jumped out at me defining their family as a whole.  And this gorgeous birthday girl started it all!

Trevor and Steve celebrated their love among their closest family and friends at Castle Farms in Charlevoix, Michigan.  They had a 20’s theme, adorned by highlights of peacocks and pearls.  Everybody came dressed in pearls and fun colorful feather headpieces.  The music was all period appropriate, too.  It was really a great, laid back wedding day for two stellar cool cats!  They love to travel and that amazing cake definitely says it all.  I wish all suitcases looked like that and were filled with cake!

Brea and Joe had a wonderful spring wedding at Castle Farms in Charlevoix.  These two and their crew had the best attitudes and smiles that made this day just beyond fantastic!  We started the day with bride and groom letters to each other that showed the sweetest connection and then a first look with Brea’s dad that gave me a glimpse in to why that connection is so true.  Good families, good people, and big hearts make for more than a perfect wedding day; this combination makes the foundation for a great marriage.

Kallyn and Zak had a wonderful day for a wedding at Castle Farms in Charlevoix!  We had a great sunny day for late March in Michigan.  I really didn’t think we were going to get such perfect weather!  It had been calling for solid rain the entire week!  We made plans to dance in the rain if necessary, but nope, we ran around a beautiful facility under perfect skies.  These two must have done something right!

Autumn and Michael had an unusually fabulous February day for a wedding at Castle Farms in Charlevoix.  They were blessed with crystal clear blue skies and upwards of 60 degree temperatures!  A beautiful day for a beautiful couple!

I had the exciting privilege of covering the indoor kids racing for my friend’s son.  I was really surprised to find it absolutely enjoyable.  Among the 70+ kids ranging in ages of 5-14, there were no issues and no tears between kids or parents.  All of the parents worked together to help fix cars and make sure everybody had what they needed to race.  And to see these little people – – yes! as young as 5 years old! racing! was the coolest thing EVER!  At an intermission, all of the racers lined up for autograph time.  It was super cute to see these little people signing autographs like a huge stars.  And I think the funniest part of the day was that the littlest ones can hardly write their name but can navigate a track like pros!

The other cool thing about the day was watching the kids make friends!  Do you remember how you could just strike up a friendship with no questions or cares when you were a kid?  It’s so much harder as an adult!  I watched 2 kids who had never met, yet raced against each other on the track, pal up like they’d know each other their entire lives.

Oh, and this is likely the coolest place I have ever seen my business name!  On the hood, too!  Rumor has it, I get to have the hood to hang in my garage!

Allison and Ryan had a mild fall day for a wedding in Queens Courtyard at beautiful Castle Farms in Charlevoix.  Emotions ran high in anticipation of walking down the aisle, and as soon as Ryan saw his bride, the world melted away – tears flowed and smiles were easy to come by.
