This perfect little doll joined the world, her family, and met her big brother, Maximus, just a few short weeks ago.  I can’t wait to see Evolette grow as big and strong and smart as her brother!

Stacey and her family will be welcoming a second boy into the world in just a few weeks!  Big brother, Charlie, I’m certain will be a great big brother!  This kid cracks me up, I can’t wait to see what number two brings along!

Rachael and Dave will be getting married this year.  They will brave the cold again for a November ceremony.  But you know, it is Michigan, maybe we will get one of those 60 degree November days.  It does happen!  They were absolute champs for their snowy engagement photos at the beach in Empire.  We had a perfect day for it, too!

Roly poly wrinkly chubby butts!  This litter of beautiful little . . . or not so little, Saint Bernard/Great Dane puppies was just a blast to play with!  Can you believe I got all of those 7 week old pups to sit together?!?  Hahaha!  Fooled you!  They did not sit together.  Not any of them!  They were movers!  So I challenged myself to one big composite of them all together.  I’m rather pleased with the end result!

These two wonderful people will soon have new titles.  Mom and Dad will be added to their description as humans in a handful of short weeks.  That is super exciting!  This little mama wanted to do her photos in the snow, since it is the middle of winter and all, but our scheduled day ended up being warm and snowless.  Gotta love Michigan weather.  So, the next week we actually got snow back and did a “take two”.

This is Hazel, the new office mascot.  Her mom was sent to a rescue in Wisconsin from Hazard, Kentucky.  Maybe we should have named her Daisy Duke but I didn’t read the paperwork on her mom until after we named her.  I had to laugh after I found out where she really came from.  Since she flies . . . like the General Lee jumping ponds in the Dukes of Hazard (favorite show as a kid) and running from the law!  She cracks me up.

I’ve committed to a personal project with Hazel for the year.  I didn’t try this with the other two girls and am really excited about it.  I will be doing one photo every week of her in the same studio location.  52 photos of a year’s growth.  I’m three weeks in and there are some interesting learning curves and marked improvement in how she sits for the camera.  She may be learning faster than me.

Would you guess that this is a January day in Northern Michigan?  Where did the snow go?  It may look like an unseasonably warm winter day, but it was not.  It was 100% winter temperatures.  We had a big January thaw the week before and of course, the week after we got bunches more snow.

From the light rains of spring, to bright sunlit summer-drenched beaches, through the early-darkening of fall, and on to the crispness of winter; this year has been beyond spectacular!  Thank you, to each and every one of you who supports me and makes all of my days at work absolutely enjoyable.
