Root Family

There is nothing more memorable than Grandma and Grandpa’s lake house when you are a child. Mr. Root told me about his longtime dream of having a cabin on their lake property, where the grandkids could all come and enjoy the summer. This lake house makes a very happy, and fulfilled Grandpa!

The Kommeth Family

It is simply amazing to me to see the big personalities in such little people! The smallest wanted nothing to do with the dress Mom intended for her. The next just didn’t want to play. The oldest was just uncomfortable and didn’t really know what to do with himself. THEN, we were introduced to “Nature’s Legos” (aka snake grass), tried a family pyramid, and were allowed to toss a sister around – – tunes changed, smiles came, and maybe (just maybe) the family photo thing wasn’t as painful as expected.

One little guy, one marsupial owl to make the little guy smile, double-trouble twinness, and a whole crowd of good-humored big kids. Family like this is so great to see!

Aaron & Kati had a beautiful sunny day at Castle Farms for their wedding, complete with a horse and carriage, and their closest friends and family. These two were easy to smile and truly enjoyed each other, their daughter, and their day.

April & Daniel – Wedding – June 26, 2015

I love it when they cry!! Tears of love and joy are one of my favorite things at weddings. Dad went first at the sight of his beautiful daughter, April went next at the sight of her dad’s emotion, then Daniel at the sight of his amazing bride, then April again, then dad again, and mom, and sister. Then, just after you thought everybody was all emotioned out, dad surprised April with a slideshow and there again came the waterworks. For an emotional family like this, I hope that each one of these happy tears gives them 1 year of happy marriage. Seriously, if that was the way it worked, they will be happily ever aftering well beyond this lifetime and the next!

Stacie and Jason, accompanied by their wedding party of 17, braved the light mist to have their “first look” on the draw bridge in Charlevoix before moving on to Castle Farms for an intimate evening ceremony with their daughter, and closest friends and family.

Kristin & George – Wedding – June 22, 2015

Kristin and George have been together for 18 years. One day, not long ago, George suggested that they get married. They chose the date that is exactly between the birthdays of their two beautiful boys. This day threatened hail and tornadoes as the morning arrived. But somehow, after the morning rains, the skies cleared and gave them a glorious, warm, dry, and even a little peeking sunlight for the afternnon, just in time to walk down the aisle.
