I was so excited to be a part of Crystal and Steve’s wedding at The Homestead in Glen Arbor!  We began the day with two left shoes and a looming presence of rain.  People always ask about what we do if it rains; my answer is always, “look for rainbows and dance in the rain”.  These two and their amazing group of guests took that as a serious statement.  Luckily the rain held off for the ceremony and most of the day but we did dance in the rain.  On the porch of Cafe Manitou, Crystal and Steve had their first dance and danced with their parents, surrounded by umbrellas.  They laughed the entire time!  Watching these two and seeing how they could pivot past any odd inconvenience (two left shoes), while 100% celebrating not only their union together as a couple, but also Steve becoming Payton’s official Dad, left me feeling so blessed to share in their day!
