4am wake-up call anyone?  Yup!  That’s what we did.  Dakota chose a sunrise on Lake Michigan to propose to Emma.  We got there before them and waited on the bluff.  It was dark yet, but if you know me, you know that this is what I live for.  The unique.  The challenging.  Photos that being in dark spaces. 

Dakota and I had spoken about the full plan the week before.  He packed her something to wear (knowing she’d be in hiking clothes and likely not photo ready at sunrise) and had the ring and a blanket stowed away in his hiking pack.  We watched them come to the top of the bluff just as the glow of morning began.  Perfect timing!  As she said YES, the sun crested over the dune and we had the most glorious light to play in!
