Foundry Elk Rapids | Grand Opening | Business

Foundry in Elk Rapids had their ribbon cutting this past week.  They even had the giant scissors!  If you haven’t been to the Elk Rapids or the East Jordan location yet, you really need to go give them a try.  This time I had the salmon and Kletia had the chicken and waffles.  Seriously good stuff!

There are more reasons than just the great location and good food for why I love working with these guys for their big events.  The owners and the staff are just good people.  They are family people.  They are community people.  The part that got me for this day was Andre, one of the owners.  I’d told him about a kid who sat down with his guitar and open case to busk on the corner in front of the restaurant.  Kid was young but surprisingly good.  Had his set list all figured out and just came out to do his thing.  Andre goes out and not only hands the kid some green, but invites him to come and play right where all the grand opening guests will walk by.  That’s good stuff.  That’s big heart stuff.  That makes me very happy to know these guys.  That is how we do community; support kids, support music, support those trying to make their way.

Come on out and return that sentiment.  You won’t be disappointed!
