When you have many titles in this world; Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, your birthday is an amazing and wonderful gift to all those around you.  You get to share not only immeasurable love to those humans you have created, but the generations that have been made after get to know you as well.  I absolutely love families of many generations.  I love that you can see the same eyes, the same smiles, and the same good humor in each family branch set.  With this group, it was that genuine easy nature, quick smile, and open hearts that jumped out at me defining their family as a whole.  And this gorgeous birthday girl started it all!

Oh my goodness!  This little doll is going to give her big brother some trouble!  Little miss Abigail is 6 months old now and well on her way to being just as spunky as big bro, Blake.

I can always count on my little pal Charlie for a good laugh.  His Santa song was fabulous.  And the look on his face when I told him to throw a snowball at me, priceless.  I find that nothing get kids to smile more than throwing things at me!  Unfortunate for the camera gear; kids have surprisingly good aim!

Michele had the greatest ideas (she usually does) for her Christmas cards but we had one minor issue.  James.  You see, sometimes, when you are three, the word NO takes over your entire vocabulary and dictates the actions of the rest of the family; up to the point where you decide it’s not entertaining any more.  As much as the funny-face-antler-posing was a super cute idea, we will just have to settle for 3/4 of the household.  Maybe next year Mich!

Natalia and Les are expecting twins this February.  They are getting the whole package in one go – they will be having a boy and a girl!  I am so excited to watch this family double in size!  And I think Daizi is going to be the sweetest guard dog ever!

I spend every work day participating in and documenting other people’s lives and it isn’t very often that I get to play that role with my own family and friend’s.   It was such a pleasure working with Jesse and Liz on their engagement photos.  As a family, we helped Jesse propose from a helicopter last month!  It’s been so much fun being a part of this side of things!

Look at how big Liam is getting!!  I’m not sure how this little guy is two already!  He is a very happy boy; he likes his books and to explore and play with whatever he finds.

Welcome to the world little Nora!  This little doll had a bit of a fussy day but she decided to fall asleep after Daddy and brother joined us for a few family photos.

That color!  The Sanborn family had a glorious fall day in Leelanau County for family photos.

What a gorgeous family!  This little doll and her family were all smiles for a fun fall walk at the Commons in Traverse City.  And the dog . . . so that must be where Chewbacca’s character came from!
