I got to spend a few hours on the farm with Pam, Steve, the Boys, and Steve’s awesome old truck to create some new photos for the French Valley Vineyard website and sales collateral.

And yup, that is a dog in a hat.

Stephanie and Ryan had a day of absolute perfection at Crooked Creek Ranch in Leelanau County.  We’ve had so much rain this fall, I was worried we were going to get hit again, but instead we got gorgeous fluffy clouds, a rainbow, and a harvest moon to die for!  These two wonderful people had an ease about them and a quick smile for all, that reminded me of long-time friends.

That sneaky moon took forever to rise.  The cloud bank that rolled through, hung on the horizon and delayed the rise by almost an hour.  As our contracted time was over well before that moon came up, we stopped up the road to grab a photo of just the moon, with all intentions of creating something unique in post production.  These creative pieces are always my favorite.  I get to manipulate elements of reality into a version that I see in my head.  I love exaggerating the size of the moon – big and dreamy.

David and Elizabeth were married at the Snow Moon Ranch in Glen Arbor on a beautiful summer day.  We began on the beach at the Homestead for a first look and then went to the ranch for their ceremony.  They were blessed with a gorgeous summer evening filled with dancing, sparklers, and fun had by all.

This Momma is my sister’s best pal from school. I have personally watched this family grow from wedding, to first born, to a family of 4. I see so much of Crystal in Isabella’s face, it kinda cracks me up! And Zeke is becoming quite the handsome little fella, too. I am blessed to watch these kids grow, even if it is from afar.

These fine young gents and their folks were a blast!  We made swords out of cattails, got muddy, and had high hopes for froggin.  Mom is a seasoned pro (a.k.a. saint) with these boys; lets them get muddy and run though the fields and just watches them smile and enjoy each other.

James is one of my favorite photogenic little buddies!  Those suspenders are his trademark!

His momma and daddy are fabulous people too!  If you are looking for great handmade home designs, accents, and heirloom pieces, check out https://www.facebook.com/dandmdesignco

Edward and Jackson are fabulously beautiful little guys.  So well behaved and happy!  It was my pleasure to spend time with them.

Their Momma, Cate, is a go-get-em leader that is heading up the project to bring a local Pets for Vets chapter to Traverse City.  If you are interested in the program, we are still looking for pet trainers, pet foster homes, and volunteers for various positions!  Hit me up here if you’d like more information!
