Andrew and Nichole were married at the Glen Lake Reformed Church in Glen Arbor and then hosted a reception at The Homestead.  We had made great plans about where we were going to go for photos that included the beach, Inspiration Point, the Narrows, and a few other local gems, BUT a few weeks before the wedding, Nichole broke her ankle.  I was so incredibly bummed out for her, knowing that we would have to tone back our plans quite a bit.  But it all worked out just fine!  We chose the marina on Crystal River and just made use of the parking lot at the church.  We had lovely weather for a Michigan February so that made getting around much easier than I had expected.  And with the amazing positive attitude that this woman has (as well as a supportive man with the patience of a saint) , we still made it to the beach!

Stay tuned for an “I can walk again” shoot some time after the next 6-8 weeks!

Celine and Dan had a beautiful summer’s day for a wedding at The Homestead Resort in Glen Arbor.  Her pale pink dress with white lace trim and ribbon tie, was just lovely.  Dan and his brothers were quite the jokesters amongst themselves, but when it was just the two of them, you could see the adoration that Dan has for Celine.  I love seeing those parts!

Ashleigh and Dan (and Jaxson, too) were married at the top of the mountain at The Homestead Resort in Glen Arbor.  The day began with wet, ominous skies, and as the ceremony time rolled around, the sun came out and greeted us with a beautiful day.  I think the best part was Jaxson’s three barks at the first kiss when everyone clapped and cheered!

Into the evening we had a chance to play with a new idea.  The Homestead does not allow sparklers to be used on site, so we tried glow sticks.  I actually really like the smoothness to the look of the glow sticks!  And then there was my pond idea.  I’ve been stewing on this one for a while and just waiting for the right time to try it out.  Success!  And after looking at the final product, I felt the moon would be a great addition.  Oh, the things I see in my head!  Do you think they’d let me put a boat in the pond . . . .

This was a perfect Glen Arbor day for a wedding with Kenny & Kristin and their two lovely children.  Her choice of pale pink was stunning with the table and chair detail in Camp Firefly lodge at the Homestead.

This couple had a beauty about them that went far beyond their physical selves.  These two were truly beautiful in soul, spirit, kindness, and their love.
