Ashley and Logan had a full day of fun for their wedding in at Visions at Centerpoint in Traverse City.  The color scheme of blues and corals coordinated so well with the marina and barn locations.

Powell and Kimberly are realtors with Venture Properties in the Leelanau and Grand Traverse regions that needed some updated environmental head shots for their business cards and web collateral.

Beautiful Sarah and handsome Dustin had a wonderful summer day for a wedding at the Hagerty Center in Traverse City.  We began the day at a beautiful rental cabin in Suttons Bay with amazing views of West Grand Traverse Bay.  We were even blessed with one of the better sunsets of the month!

I do need to take a moment to discuss both of Sarah’s father figures walking her down the aisle.  I am so happy to see that both of these men are able to support their daughter in a selfless manner.  As a step-parent myself, I always appreciate groups of parents and bonus parents that work together as a full unit.  Thank you, gentlemen, for being good Dads.

When you have many titles in this world; Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, your birthday is an amazing and wonderful gift to all those around you.  You get to share not only immeasurable love to those humans you have created, but the generations that have been made after get to know you as well.  I absolutely love families of many generations.  I love that you can see the same eyes, the same smiles, and the same good humor in each family branch set.  With this group, it was that genuine easy nature, quick smile, and open hearts that jumped out at me defining their family as a whole.  And this gorgeous birthday girl started it all!

Sarah asked, I said yes.  I had no idea what I was getting into, I suppose neither did she, since we pretty much used the whole day.  And it was a day of many laughs, much goofiness, and some seagull bombings.  I got to play with some of my new studio things and ideas and then we progressed to a dark alleyway downtown.  Siri Salonen from Siri Salonen Photography came downtown to hang with us, too.  It’s so rare that I get to go play with other photographers, but when I do it reminds me how much I love this community of creative people around here.  So supportive!  So much fun!  And just really great people!

Susan and Mike had a casual little wedding at the Wellington Inn in Traverse City.  They had only their closest family of parents, siblings, and children there to witness this union.  We were blessed with beautiful weather for a Michigan March!

The crew at Village Press in Traverse City are redoing their website and including some great ideas for their team’s “about me” profiles.  They are including a series of 3 photos for each person.  They have a proper head shot, a funny face personality shot, and then a prop shot.  The prop shots cracked me up!  These personalities really came to life!  Some of the others were great too, they included hockey sticks, Mountain Dew bottles, books, small children, and bicycle crash helmets.  Quite the diverse group of folks!

The crew at Traverse North Realty had some new group shots done.  If you are in the market for a new home, make sure to give these fine folks a call!

Team REI needed new headshots and a few group sitting options.  We had great ideas for a rooftop sitting with bay and city-scape backgrounds, but the gales of November decided to pay us a visit.  I suppose, though, it is November and there was no snow on the ground so at least we weren’t freezing in our attempts.

What a gorgeous family!  This little doll and her family were all smiles for a fun fall walk at the Commons in Traverse City.  And the dog . . . so that must be where Chewbacca’s character came from!
