Catherine and Paul had a beautiful late summer wedding on the shores of Lake Michigan at the Elberta Life Saving Station.  They had clear blue skies and a wonderful sunset for their day.  Check out their cake toppers!  They have their kitties and Lego likenesses – super cute!

Marcy and Stan were married at Visions at CenterPointe in Traverse City on a beautiful late summer day.  We were blessed with gorgeous weather and comfortable temperatures to enjoy their waterfront venue and view.  Stan’s sons sang during the ceremony as a fantastic personal touch – – and they were both very good!  All in all, it was a lovely day rounded out by some good old dance floor fun.

Katie and Tobias were married at Castle Farms in Charlevoix in a lovely evening ceremony. Tobias is from Germany and his parents and groomsmen all took the big journey to be a part of the day.

I’ve had this vision of the stars and Milky Way over the Castle Queens Courtyard for a while now.  That courtyard faces south, where the Milky Way can be found in early evening this time of year.  As it gets darker earlier now, it’s fun to play with more of these ideas.

Tracy and Josh were married at the beautiful Botanic Gardens Historic Barns Park in Traverse City in an early morning ceremony.  Their closest friends and family stood witness and then joined them at their home for a lawn party reception.

Laura and Drew were married at the top of the vines at Black Star Farms winery in Suttons Bay.  It was a perfect day for an event among the vines. The love between these two shines so bright.  They are such wonderful people; it was a great honor to be a part of their day!

Kelly and Shaun had an absolutely glorious day for a wedding at Castle Farms in Charlevoix.  We began the day with a first look between bride and groom, resulting in the biggest grin on Shaun’s face when he turned to see his beautiful bride.  After the ceremony, we toured the grounds and made friends with Norm the dragon.  Well . . . we had a little fun with Norm, anyhow.  Finaling out the night, we challenged a few friends with sparkler letters – – that is always entertaining after they have a few cocktails.

Dona and Randy joined their families on the beach at The Homestead in Glen Arbor.  We had a little rain but that was a completely acceptable trade off for what the sky offered us.  Look at those rays!!

These two lovely ladies shared their vows in the vines of Shady Lane Cellars among their closest family and friends.  The ceremony was read in both English and French and Bene’s family joined us all the way from her homeland of France.  Their wedding party joined us for a champagne toast up the road at L.Mawby and we took a quick trip to Suttons Bay Ciders.  The joy among these two was so fun to witness!

Kelley and Chris hosted their friends and family from near and far at Castle Farms in Charlevoix Michigan, for their wedding.  It was a great day of laughter, happy tears, and some pretty comical dinner toasts.

These two actually surprised me.  I often see people exchange gifts or letters behind doors or a wall without seeing each other, but I’ve not seen people exchange private vows before the ceremony.  And it was wonderful!  The heartfelt messages of truth, hope, and love, shared only between themselves and us little birds, was just wonderful to witness.

Stacey and Troy had a beautiful summer day for a wedding in Charlevoix. We started out at each of their rental homes in town with their families and then went for the ceremony at St. Mary’s Church. Everybody had good fun on the trolley cruising around downtown and to the beach. They had the East Garden Room at Castle farms decorated with beautiful details for the reception.
