Sarah and Jeff had a day of many colors. We started out with a major rain storm, but as the day progressed the sky opened up to glorious rays of sunshine for Sarah to walk down the aisle to. Mother nature had quite the sense of humor for the day. Just as we got done with the ceremony, the sky had to give us one more little shower and then smiled on us and gave a lovely Northern Michigan summer evening.
Brittany and Travis and 25 (including 4 ushers, and a super sweet & sassy flower girl) of their closest friends take the number 2 spot for largest wedding party to date for me. Only to be topped 10 years ago by 16 on each side, plus extras. This crew had a great summer day in Knights Courtyard at Castle Farms in Charlevoix. The courtyard and reception hall were dressed beautifully.
And check out those Keds! Those are some sparkley happy feet on that gorgeous bride!
Karrie and Matt were married at Castle Farms in Charlevoix in the beautiful Queens Courtyard. We had a little rain to start the day but as their ceremony time arrived, the skies began to lighten and eventually the sun came out for a wonderful evening. Karrie was brought to the grand arch by horse and carriage as Matt waited in anticipation. Both of their faces told us all the emotion they felt as Karrie walked to Matt. These two are wonderful people and the love between them is so great to witness.
David and Elizabeth were married at the Snow Moon Ranch in Glen Arbor on a beautiful summer day. We began on the beach at the Homestead for a first look and then went to the ranch for their ceremony. They were blessed with a gorgeous summer evening filled with dancing, sparklers, and fun had by all.
Kristy and Vince have made quite a splash with their wedding gift request for their wedding on July 2nd. Instead of regular wedding gifts, they requested that guests bring donations of school supplies. Giving to our youth is such a fabulous way to celebrate! Check out the 9&10 news feature and the post on TCAPS Facebook page!
Thank you Kristy and Vince for being AMAZING humans!

Collen and Sean had all the best details for their farm wedding at the East Jordan Event Barn. They had great summer weather and a smooth day. We saw tears from Sean as Colleen walked down the aisle, escorted by her son. She was stunning in her dress that shimmered pale pink in certain light.
They had ordered and old Apache truck for a photo prop but it had to back out, having lost the fuel pump that day. Of course, needing no extra reason to drive my ’64, I rolled in with a backup. Funny thing is they ended up with two old trucks. Sean’s dad spotted a little red Ford on the way to the wedding and convinced the lady to stop by for a bit. #truckpeoplelovetoshowoff
Kristy and Vince and a fantastic summer wedding day on the Island Thyme patio. These two truly wonderful people, had summer sunshine, a lovey catch phrase between themselves, a dog as a best man, fireworks, sparklers, a stellar band, AND a s’mores bar! There is nothing else that could have made the day any better. Oh, wait, Allison’s puppy thought he needed to walk down the aisle, too – that was pretty funny. And then there is their custom wedding bands that were just out of this world – complete with engravings of water and earth for Vince and coffee and flatware for Kristy. AND let’s take a second to send a shout out the ENTIRE Tomczak family, including Dad, all the siblings (how many – 10 of you?), and all the nieces and nephews.
Kim and Nick had a fantastic day atop the Homestead’s Bay Mountain. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, perfect weather, and abundant smiles, they had a flawless wedding.
Jessica and Mike had a wonderful day for a wedding at the Homestead in Glen Arbor. They had a beautiful mountain top ceremony performed by their brother-in-law. Jessica’s dad cried as he walked his daughter down the aisle. I just love it when true emotion shows through in a day. Her reception room was dressed to the nines and they were graced with a glorious Lake Michigan sunset to round out their day.
Traci and Zach had a great day at Castle Farms in Charlvoix for a wedding. Lovely summer weather, a happy confidence between themselves as a couple and as individuals that just makes you smile to be around them. Traci had an emotional first look with her father and then with Zach. Zach’s grin as she walked toward him was so telling of the love he has for her.
